Our 4 ounce size natural deodorant is free from all the nasty ingredients normally found in store bought brands - parabens, aluminum, triclosan, phthalates and artificial fragrances. We use only beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil and beneficial essential oils with some kaolin clay, magnesium hydroxide (like Milk of Magnesia) and arrowroot powder. You can use these on other areas of the body as well, like your decolletage or feet (with socks!) Packaged in black paperboard push up tubes. Just run your finger around the bottom plate and gently push up.
Why we don't use baking soda in our deodorants
Baking soda is alkaline and it can cause a reaction to those with sensitive skin. Read your labels, even when using "natural" deodorants if you are sensitive to baking soda as many natural products contain baking soda. We use arrowroot powder as an alternative.
Deodorants vs Antiperspirants
Natural deodorants won’t halt sweat, only "antiperspirants" which contain aluminum do that. Natural deodorants will neutralize odor but will not block sweat glands - which is actually a good thing and better for you as sweat allows toxins to leave the body.
How to Use:
To avoid marks on your clothes, put on your deodorant a few minutes before dressing, allowing it to dry completely. Apply lightly. You do not need a thick coating for it to work.
NOTE: If the deodorant is left in direct sunlight or in very warm conditions, it may melt. The product can be re-refrigerated to return it to a solid state.
